Prof. Michele Stellato was born in March 1965. After his scientific high school diploma he enrolled at the Higher Institute of Physical Education in Naples where he finished his studies with honours in 1987.

Despite being qualified to teach physical activity in middle and high schools, he does not practice the profession and teaches exclusively Wing Tsun. He began practicing Martial Arts in 1980. Since 1982 he has fully dedicated himself to the study of Wing Tsun. He became Sifu in 1995 and Master in 2004. In 2007 he founded the AWTA.

The Authentic Wing Tsun Academy is not an Association, nor an organization, but the Academy of Prof. Michele Stellato, where he teaches Wing Tsun based on his original interpretation, the result of over four decades of experience and studies.
